Kia Ora and welcome, I'm Sonya the founder of Happy Hamper.

Here is a little bit about me:
I was raised in the Kiwifruit capital of New Zealand - Te Puke where I spent a wonderful and happy childhood I am now based in Tauranga with my beautiful daughters, we absolutely love the sunny Bay of Plenty and wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

How Happy Hamper came about:
I first came up with the idea to start a gift hamper business here in Tauranga when I bought a gift box for my brothers birthday, he was living overseas at the time and I wanted to send him something to remind him of home. I had a look on google to see what was out there and found there was a niche in the market for beautifully presented, high quality, New Zealand made products. 

From there I decided to go for it, I did a lot of research to source NZ made boxes and to find out what NZ made products I wanted to include in those boxes. I set up a facebook page initially with pre-made gift boxes, from there I wanted to create a website. I was really excited about it and wanted to do something no one else had done, have an easy to use 'make your own' gift box, a great way to personalise your gift giving. It's thoughtful, it's fun and is sure to make someone smile.
